WOODWARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MURAL
Designed and installed at Woodward Elementary School by Taylor Coughlin of Port 98 Creative Studio in collaboration with Blue House Art, this large-scale mural was created to strengthen community, inclusivity, and school identity through an engaging visual experience. Centered around the school’s owl mascot and motto, the mural reimagines the mascot with a contemporary and approachable design while embedding student voice directly into the artwork. Each owl represents interests, activities, and colors voted on by the students themselves. Set within a vibrant, welcoming landscape, the final installation transformed a shared school space into a point of pride that reflects the diversity, creativity, and collective spirit of the Woodward community.
Port 98 Creative Studio redesigned the school’s owl mascot with a softer, more expressive and contemporary look to create a character that feels approachable, welcoming, and instantly recognizable to students while strengthening the school’s visual identity with a more modern and engaging presence.
